Surprise Me – Sophie Kinsella

Sophie Kinsella is one of my favorites authors. Her books are always very funny and entertaining. Surprise Me is the most recent and the title makes sense, I’m literally surprised. I found it so boring!

The story is about a married couple, after 10 year of marriage trying to surprise each other. That’s it! It’s not even funny. There is just 1 kind of interesting fact in the book that starts to happen after 250 pages, and is very predictable.

Looks like Sophie Kinsella had a contract for a book and had to rush to write something without any inspiration.

I hope the next one is better.

Camino Island

I just finished this book. It was my second from John Grisham and I really like his style.

Camino Island is about the theft of Fitzgerald manuscripts from a Library and it’s investigation. All the characters are book writers, book stores owners, books collectors, first editions, manuscripts, publishing. Well, is a book for book lovers 🙂

It’s an interesting story and the end is not predictable, which I love. Although I expected a different end, but I still liked. I finished the book with a lot of ideas. I love to read books that open my mind and give me ideas for life. Thanks John Grisham!

The Last Child

The Last Child was the last book that I’ve read. And I absolutely loved!

I didn’t know this author, one of my friends read before and passed to me.

The story is about Johnny, a 13 years old boy, looking for his twin sister that disappeared 1 year ago. His family is broken and nobody in the city believes that Alyssa is still alive. But Johnny can’t give up. He has a loyal friend, Jack, who is determined to help Johnny to find his sister and nothing can’t stop them. Detective Hunt wants to help the family and is always around, but he didn’t know how far Johnny could go to find his sister. After a long journey and lot of trouble, what they find out is unbelievable and scary! A big revelation!

What I loved about this book is that is not predictable at all. The end is completely unexpected. It’s a big investigation, very well written and there is no gaps in the story. I was so into this book that it was difficult to start the next. I will definitely read other books from John Hart.
